The location is shown as left and right of main Legian road if facing to Seminyak from Legian, or direction of North - South. Today the traffic can not go directly from the cross road or from Bemo Corner to Legian, Traffic must go directly to the beach road then turn right following Melasti.
Legian is the smallest area of Kuta city, and it can be said that it is still in central Kuta. The main area of Legian is on the left and right of now narrow jalan Legian, starting from jalan Melasti at the southern edge of Legian village area northward up to the road leading to Jayakarta hotel. Along jalan Legian is famous with it's night life, and fine private beaches until the year of 2000, when the people of Legian decided to open a road leading from the southern border of Legian village up to the northern border of Legian village. This road in fact has cut the privacy of beaches between all Legian hotels with the beach itself. Hotels in Legian area are mostly middle class down and small hotels. Seen from category of Legian hotels, they are mostly middle down, and plenty of them are simple and cheap Legian hotels, especially along jalan Pura Bagus Teruna and the short cut road from jalan Melasti. Most of Legian hotels are first class hotels, non star compared to central Kuta the number of this Legian hotels type is far more smaller. The highest category of Legian hotels are only Legian Beach hotels and Jayakarta Bali hotel and White Rose hotel. More lower category but popular Legian hotels are Adhi Dharma hotel and Legian Paradiso hotel. The main problem for Legian hotels is the condition of the road, now can't be entered by bus with seat more than 20. For group staying at one of Legian hotels, have to change into smaller car from Legian station near the main road of Jalan Raya Kuta or Jalan Imam Bonjol. But Legian has fine and big number of shops with various products. The problem that is unsolved along Legian street is the traffic, the most dense traffic in Kuta, beside the road is narrow. This was the main reason of Legian people to open the road on the beach. The situation does not make it possible for the bus to enter the area. A group more than 20 persons staying at hotels in Legian must be splitted into smaller groups by using smaller vans. This is the hazard of Legian Hotels operation.
