Kuta is used to refer 3 references, first is the village ( Banjar ) Kuta, second is Desa Kuta ( higher administrative area than Banjar ), third is Kecamatan Kuta ( higher administrative area than Desa ). The original Banjar Kuta is around current beach road from Natour Kuta hotel northward up to Jalan Melasti. As a Desa settlement unit, Kuta covers the neighboring traditional Banjar such as Tuban, Legian, and Seminyak. The first Banjar to have developed has been Kuta itself, and all these area now known basically as Kuta city. All areas within Desa Kuta have been developing beyond their capacity to cover. It was such invaded by he construction of hotels, restaurants, shops, and various business activities among Kuta's narrow streets and gangs( alleys ). Just for easier discussion about Kuta, later we use the terms to refer each area of Kuta. Central Kuta to refer to area of now in the surrounding of beach road, Tuban for south Kuta city, Legian for Legian area, and Seminyak for Northern Kuta city. While Krobokan is the northernmost of Kecamatan Kuta. All these areas have been developing tourism facilities such as hotels, villas, restaurants, shops and others. Our focus here is central Kuta, where the first tourism facility called hotel was already built in 1930 at current location of Natour Kuta beach. Central Kuta has some luxurious hotels such as Hard Rock Hotel, Mercure Kuta, Sahid Raya Kuta, Kul Kul Resort, and Intan Legian Hotel. For tourist class facilities are famous along the Poppies lane I and II, where various cheap restaurants and cheap hotels are available within the narrow gangs. Kuta Mall shopping center is belong to Tuban area, just on the border of Banjar Kuta ( here Banjar Pande Mas ) with Banjar Tuban. If we compared to other areas of Indonesia, it is for sure, no one is comparable to the development of Kuta hotels, where more than a hundreds Kuta hotels from simple Kuta hotels, medium category Kuta hotels, deluxe Kuta hotels, luxurious Kuta hotels, and Kuta villas are available here in Kuta city. The development of Kuta hotels has made the already narrow space of Kuta become more crowded. Local government has not been able to plan and control the use of land for the construction of Kuta hotels in general, and other various tourism facilities. This will at any time make the situation be a set back to Kuta city itself, as it involves security and comfortability of travelers.
